It all started with a simple question: Why does a suitcase have to be so cumbersome? This idea gave birth to CASYRO – and with a lot of passion, countless prototypes, and continuous development, it evolved into the stand-up suitcase you know today.
From Travel Frustration to Innovation
The idea is born
The idea for a completely new suitcase was born during a trip. The constant packing and unpacking in hotel rooms was finally to become a thing of the past. Together with Roland Brack, the vision of a travel suitcase that opens upright and offers access to the entire contents at all times was born.
The first prototype was anything but perfect: A conventional hard-shell suitcase was quickly cut up with an angle grinder and reassembled with hinges. But it was precisely this simple prototype that laid the foundation for CASYRO.
Development down to the smallest detail
From idea to product
Together with Swiss engineering partners, the initial idea was developed into a professional 3D design. Numerous prototypes and intensive tests followed.
Particular challenges included stability, the internal structure, weight, and the development of a durable construction. After five generations of prototypes, the concept was ready for market. In the same year, the CASYRO brand was registered, and the innovative case concept was patented.
From prototype to first series
The first CASYRO cases
After countless hours of development and testing, the first CASYRO series was produced. In spring 2022, the first stand-up suitcases went on sale and delighted travelers with a completely new travel experience.
Thus, a simple idea became a brand that makes traveling more comfortable.

Constant further development
We have been continuously developing CASYRO since its market launch. Customer feedback, our own experiences, and new ideas are constantly incorporated into its development.
Today, CASYRO is already in its fourth product generation and is available in two modern colours – with numerous improvements in quality, functionality, and user-friendliness. And we are already working on the next innovations.
